Michelle Montague, M.S. Ed
Spiritual Director
Charleston, SC, USA
I was born into a Catholic family in the early 1960’s, attending Holy Rosary Catholic Grammar School in Hawthorne, New York.
I graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 1984 with a Special Education Degree and started teaching in September of that year. In 1987 I graduated with a master’s degree in Special Education from Providence College, RI.
During the late 80’s, I became very active in faith formation, youth and teen ministry, bible study, and vacation bible school in my parish. In the 1990’s I initiated and co-led a divorce bible/support group.
In 2014, I was trained in Stephen Ministry; and, in April 2015 was commissioned as a Stephen Minister for our parish. This program provides one-on-one same sex care to individuals experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, or relocation. I would meet weekly with a female to listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support.
In 2017, I retired after 33 years teaching in order to launch Safe FamiIies for Children in Connecticut. Safe Families create extended families—such as support for desperate families to keep children safe and keep families together.
In March of 2024, I joined a committee to bring the Walking With Moms In Need Ministry to our parish and have been Co-leader since May 2024. We helped our first mom Christmas 2024 and continue to support moms going through difficult times.
In November 2024 through February 2025, I was trained with Reach More through the Archdiocese for the Military, USA. Working alongside chaplains, I am growing our presence within our service members in South Carolina, strengthening their faith through prayer.
In 2022, I began my process of becoming a spiritual director and completed my certificate through the Alleluia School of Spiritual Direction in Augusta, Georgia, July 2025.
I would like to deepen my faith and prayer while accompanying others that are traveling a similar journey by sharing the hope that our faith provides. I have two adult children and two beautiful grandchildren.

Susan S. Liguori, M.Div
Spiritual Director and Chaplain
Wisconsin, USA
Stepping alongside others on their pilgrimage as they encounter the God who loves them brings me great joy. Accompanying others as they fall more deeply in love with Jesus and gain a stronger sense of the work of the Holy Spirit in their everyday lives is, I believe, profoundly sacred work.
Earning a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School set me upon the spiritual care pathway of serving as a healthcare chaplain and clinical pastoral educator. I recieved formation as a Spiritual Director in the Ignatian Tradition from the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality at Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT and a certificate in directing the 19th Annotation Retreat from the Sisters of Saint Joseph Center for Spirituality in Ocean Grove, NJ.
My favorite form of retreat is pilgrimage walks such as the Camino de Santiago and the Ignatian Way in Spain.
My prayer is to assist you in gaining freedom through discernment, reflection and prayer. All for the greater glory of God!

Madeline Mauro
Spiritual Director
South Carolina, USA
I am a Catholic spiritual director and the foundress of Triage Ministry, a nonprofit apostolate dedicated to spiritual accompaniment, prayer triage, and the inner healing of heart wounds.
Through my own journey of healing and rediscovery of Christ’s tender mercy, I have been called to walk alongside souls carrying grief, fear, and spiritual desolation. I offer a prayerful, safe space where individuals can encounter God’s love, attune to the movements of the Holy Spirit, and rediscover their identity as beloved sons and daughters of the Father.
My ministry is rooted in the sacramental life of the Church and a deep trust in the slow, faithful work of grace unfolding within each heart.
Though formed primarily in the Ignatian tradition, my spirituality is nourished by the contemplative silence of Carmel, the ordered prayer rhythm of the Benedictines, and the Franciscan call to simplicity, compassion, and closeness to the wounded. Visit www.TriageMinistry.com for more information.

Margaret Meisen, M.S. Ed
Spiritual Director
Long Island, New York, USA
It brings me great joy to accompany others on their journey with God. As a spiritual director, I offer hospitality and presence through the practice of deep listening and conversation. Through this environment those seeking greater discernment and a deeper, closer relationship to God, can grow. I offer resources for various forms of prayer from the Catholic Ignatian and Benedictine traditions that foster freedom, clarity, and growth in Jesus Christ. I am trained in giving the 19th Annotation Retreat and look forward to accompanying those who seek a greater commitment and awareness of God’s presence in their lives.
In my diocese and parish community, I have been a catechist for many years and have facilitated different types of groups, including those that incorporate creative arts with spirituality. My involvement in a Teams of Our Lady couples’ group for over 30 years has blessed my marriage and helped me appreciate the vital role that community can play in a person’s spiritual growth. Working as a public school and a Catholic school educator of elementary and college students has complimented my practice with organization, perspective, and richness.
